- Perennials can be planted anytime time from early spring to late
fall.
- Thoroughly and deeply spade the soil and surrounding area.
- Add generous amounts of organic matter to the soil if necessary.
- Saturate the root ball before planting by immersing it in water.
- Place a balanced fertilizer on the surrounding soil after planting.
- Inundate the planted perennial and adjacent area with water.
- Place a layer of bark mulch or other composted material
approximately 4" deep or more to conserve moisture.
- Monitor the plant for moisture needs until the perennial is
extablished.
